How long is long enough?

We all asked this question when we are seeing someone. The question could come by as we ask; how long is long to sleep with her/him? How long before we call our selves a couple? or how long before I tell her I love her?

These question undoubtedly enter our frey of thoughts when we are finally getting close to someone. In my case with the G/F, we waited apx 3 months before we even admitted we were serious, but only another 2 weeks to make it official. The way we did things might not have being the best way, but even she gotta admit, it was exciting.

Which leads me to the point of the day, In Jamaica we dont care about time or length, what we care about is getting to know a person. It is since I got to the USA that time became important. The whole idea of dating in america is getting to know the person, while if we want to get to know a person in Jamaica all we do is visit them at their house or anywhere in their natural element. And the whole point of going out is not to specifically get to know that person, but to really have fun with that person.

And usually in Jamaica if we are going to spend money on that person, we realy like you, ALOT.. that was the way it was with the G/F we got to know each other in our own element, she didnt like that too much, but I do think now she prefers it, as shes not the one to be all pomp and pretentious(thats what I love about her). When we go out it is truly to have fun, I dont know if she uses it to specifically get to know me, but what ever we are doing its working, 8 months baby, how do you feel about that?...

In my point of view, time doesnt matter what really matter is if we comfortable with that person and if we genuinely feel comfortable with that person then what does it matter ? as long as we have a good head on our shoulder and think about, if we can live with the decisions we make, then we should be fine and not care what other people think.
